Former Lodge members honoured
Thursday, September 6, 2018
Our late brother, the Rev. RWor. Bro. Charles Sligo, has been honoured, with a street named after him in Mernda.
The street is on land first purchased by Ivanhoe Grammar School in the 1980s. The property has been surplus to the school’s requirements, and is now being developed as a housing estate.
Also honoured is IGS founder, the Rev. Bro. Sydney Buckley, also with a street named him.
The estate also includes Sherwood Way, Lincoln Way, Thoresby St, and Athelstane Rd, named after the School’s four houses.
