Our dear friend, Vaughan Werner, died about 5pm Friday (Dec. 13). Vaughan was the best of men. A man’s man. One of integrity and absolute honesty. He was Grand Master of Victoria’s Freemasons, 2010-12. And he was a good bloke who enjoyed a laugh. Vaughan Werner was a former Assistant Commissioner (Crime) of Victoria Police.
Our late brother, the Rev. RWor. Bro. Charles Sligo, has been honoured, with a street named after him in Mernda. The street is on land first purchased by Ivanhoe Grammar School in the 1980s.
